Father’s Day

This one is for the dads out there.

To the dads who work long hours to provide for their families

To the dads who have protected their loved ones even if it means they suffer more.

To the dads who are symbols to their sons of what men should be- strong yet gentle.

To the dads who set an example of the kind of men their daughters should want to be with.

To the dads who put the kids to sleep after a full day because mum is exhausted.

To the dads who tell their wives they are beautiful when they’re feeling their least.

To the dads who coach the soccer team in their spare time.

To the dads who are doing the parenting by themselves.

To the dads who feel like they are not good enough, you are.

To the dads who chase their kids around the park although they just want to sit and relax.

To the dads who fix… everything… from baby dolls to house renovations.

To the dads who are doing the best with what they have.

To the dads who sit in the kid’s room all night to protect them from monsters.

To the dads who feel like they’re coming to the end of their tether.

To the dads who mow the lawn although they were supposed to play footy.

To the dads who fight on their hands and knees for their family.

To the dads who feel like they are out of their league.

To the dads who lead their families.

To the dads who fight for justice and seek the truth.

To the dads who aren’t scared to teach their children about the consequences of their actions.

To the dads who make mistakes.

To the dads who daily rely on the grace of God to do what they do.

To the dad up in Heaven who is there despite where the earthly dad might be.

Here is our chance to say, you are incredible. The role you play is unlike any other and although it is hard, it means the world to those around you. So thank you for the love you provide, and Happy Father’s Day!
